“Froggy Bottom” was written for Andy Kirk and His Twelve Clouds of Joy on the occasion of the group’s first recording sessions that took place in November 1929 in Kansas City. It is a simple arrangement, consisting of a structure to showcase soloists on a slow blues.
This edition includes transcriptions of all recorded solos, including Williams’ beautiful piano solo.
