“Lotta Sax Appeal” was recorded by Andy Kirk and His Twelve Clouds of Joy for Decca on March 2, 1936, in New York City. Featuring tenor saxophonist Dick Wilson as the main soloist, it is a reworking of the piece recorded by John Williams and His Memphis Stompers in 1929. This edition is based on the 1936 Kirk recording, intersected with a short score in Williams’ hand.
