Mary Lou Williams Blues

1940

“Mary Lou Williams Blues” was recorded in 1940 by a small group led by Williams and featuring members of the Andy Kirk orchestra. It is a relaxed and simple Kansas City-style tune with an unusual structure and catchy riff-based melody – a perfect vehicle to focus on group playing, sound and medium tempo swing.
